Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians

The Arkansas AFP Foundation was incorporated in 1990 as a not for profit corporation organized to establish and administer programs for education, research, and philanthropic purposes for the benefit of family practice in Arkansas.
An exclusively charitable, educational and scientific in purpose, the IRS recognizes the ArAFP Foundation as a 501 (C)(3) tax exempt organization thereby able to receive grants and tax deductible gifts and contributions.
We are affiliated as one of the chapter foundations of the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation. Along with our chapter’s funding of the Academy’s Family Medicine Interest Group (our student membership) we also provide scholarships annually and participate on the national level in supporting the Resident Repayment Program.
An optional check off option on your annual dues statement makes it convenient to add a tax deductible contribution to the AAFP Foundation. Funds that contributed to the AAFP Foundation are shared with our state chapter Foundation and undesignated contributions to our state chapter Foundation are in turn shared with the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation.
Contributions may be made to our Foundation in memory of patients, friends, colleagues or to support one of the annual scholarships.
Staff support and facilities for the Arkansas AFP Foundation are provided by the Arkansas AFP chapter staff at no charge to the Foundation.
We thank you for your support of the AAFP and the ArAFP Foundation and for your commitment to the future of Family Practice and urge you to contribute the optional $35.00 contribution to the Foundation included on your annual membership dues statement and to remember the Foundation as one of the many options for tax deductible contributions.
